MINDEF Excellence Award

The MINDEF Excellence Awad (MEA) formerly known as SEA was first introduced into MINDEF/SAF in 1992. This strategic move is embarked upon to shift the focus of future competitions away from just service and administrative improvements towards Total Organisational (Business) Excellence. While the Service Quality Award (SQA) criteria was adopted since the 1997 competition, a timely review of the criteria was conducted by PSB in 2000 to reflect current excellence standards adopted by world class business and emphasises on new economy concept such as innovation, knowledge management and partnering.

MINDEF recognised our efforts and GSMB was awarded:
Two times Service Excellence Award in 1996 and 1997
Three times SEA Commendation award in 1995, 1998 and 1999
Two times MEA Commendation Award in 2000 and 2001.
