GSMB Community Chest Involvement

1. Publicize the SHARE programme to all the Companies in the Battalion.

2. The OCs will encourage his servicemen under his command to help the less fortunate in our society as it is part of our social awareness and responsibility.

3. For those servicemen who do not wish to contribute, the OCs and the CSM will interview the servicemen concerned and advise them on how they could help the less fortunate in our society by contributing to the SHARE programme.

OUTSTANDING 10 YEARS FOR CONTINUOUS PARTICIPATION IN SHARE PROGRAMME FOR COMMUNITY CHEST
GSMB received the outstanding SHARE PROGRAMME Award from the president for 10 YEARS of continuous participation in Community Chest Programme in 1999.

Gold Award/Platinum Award for SHARE PROGRAM in aid of Charities for Community Chest
Gold Award received on year 1985, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997,1998,1999.
Platinum Award received on year 1993 & 1999

First Community Chest Award
GSMB subscribe to various programme which aims to aid the socially less fortunate. The Battalion place proper command emphasis for such programmes. GSMB was the first SAF unit to receive the Community Chest Gold Award from president Wee Kim Wee in 1985.
