Minister For Defence Award (Commendation)

The annual MDA, inaugurated in 1992, is handed to the top MINDEF/SAF unit or organisation that has excelled for the past year in eight components. Each component - WITs, Suggestions Scheme, resource utilisation, organisationl excellence, education/training, welfare and healthy lifestyle - is weighted and assessed by the correspondiung MINDEF executive committees and Committee Secretariats, including a de facto assessment on safety.

For the year 2001, GSMB was proud to receive, for the first time, the Minister For Defence (Commendation) Award. Every GSMBian effort counts.
