ISO 9002 Certification

After a long relentless effort, GSMB was finally rewarded and certified to ISO 9002 standard, an internationally recognised Quality Standard in Oct 1994. This is but the beginning. This will serve as a stepping stone for us to continue to improve our existing Quality Services to reach the mark of Service Excellence. The attainment of ISO 9002:1994 only marks the starting of Quality Culture for continuous improvement in our Quality Services to our customers. MG Lim Neo Chian was the guest of honour during the ISO 9002 Certificate Presentation ceremony.

S4 Br ISO 9002 Certification
GSMB started its Quality Management System in 1991. Her accreditation to ISO 9002 began with the certification of the maintenance companies in Oct 94. From then on, it was no turning back. In Feb 96, she took a bold step in having her S4 (Logistics Function) certified to ISO 9002, a first in the Army.

S1 Br ISO 9002 Certification
Then in Oct 97, she went on to have its manpower elements certified to ISO 9002 standard, another first in the Army. The certification of the S1 (manpower function) began in May 96 with the documentation of the operation system and work processes. Training was also conducted to enable the S1 Br personnel to interpret the ISO 9000 requirements.
